Become a certified art teacher
Are you gifted with artistic abilities such as painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics or more? Do you enjoy working with children and sharing your knowledge with others? You should consider becoming an art teacher in public or private schools.
SBU offers an art education degree program that will equip you to become certified to teach art at all grade levels K-12. You will be exposed to a variety of art mediums and hone your artistic talents while also learning the foundations of teaching philosophies.
This degree is offered through SBU's Geneva Casebolt College of Arts and Social Sciences.
